Chamomile Meditation App
A native iOS mobile application designed to track meditation habits and provide data visualization.
OVERVIEW
For this project at Ironhack, I had to develop a tracking app from scratch and design a MVP. During the two weeks, I created Chamomile, a meditation app. I aimed to develop an app that can help people achieve their meditation goals and needs.
Project Outline
- 10 days.
- Tools: Figma, Google Forms, Maze, Zoom and Slack.
- Approach: Designing Thinking.
PROCESS
Quantitative Research, Qualitative Research, Affinity Diagram, HMW, Empathy Map, Problem Statement, JTBD, Competitor Analysis, User Persona, User Journey, Moscow Method, User Flow, Sitemap, Lo-Fi, Mid-Fi, Usability Testing, Mood Board, Style Tile, Hi-Fi, and looooots of tests.
USER RESEARCH
We did user research throughout user survey and Interview. We discovered that for many people, meditation is a way to relieve everyday stress, to be healthy, develop creativity, focus and ease anxiety in the medium and long term. Although all users agreed with all benefits the practice of meditation can bring, it is also hard to learn and practice daily.
PROBLEM STATEMENT AND HYPOTHESIS
PERSONA
The next step was to empathize with the user through empathy and affinity mapping. With these tools, I could understand who I was empathizing with, their goals, needs, pains, and gains when meditating and using meditation apps. After that I could craft this project persona, Daniela.
VISUAL COMPETITOR ANALYSIS
Looking at the competition, I wanted to identify the current identities that are being used within the market, so that:
- I could be are aware of current trends in this space
- Have an idea of what the possible customers may expect.
- set my product apart from the competition
- Make the product’s identity look different from what’s already out there.
USER FLOW
STORYBOARD
Demonstrating user scenarios
PROTOTYPING
I crafted my low-fidelity prototype by hand, following Daniela´s user flow. I sent it to Figma, and after some possible user feedbacks, I began designing my Mid fi.
FIRST ITERATIONS
After the first 10 tests
MORE TESTS AND ITERATIONS
FINAL DESIGN
If you read until here, thank you!!! Do not hesitate to give me feedback (I love them;)
Ps.: GIMMME CLAPS XD
App illustrations by Afsar and some modifications by myself =)
